Once upon a time, in an age before the Internet, was to leave your apartment and interact with humanity. But considering how long the human race existed before the dawn of the Internet and online dating, it looks like meeting people in real life was actually working for them. I myself have never done the thing.

One aspect of your depression is that you lack self confidence and experience low self esteem even though you are clearly very intelligent and are an excellent student. I had to work extremely hard to make friends at university- most people seemed to keep to their cliques from high school.
They just see the boring and quiet kid. I have a problem that has been ongoing for my entire life, pretty much. Or, are you extraordinarily social---so preoccupied with making lots of acquaintances that you lose out on making close friendships? Im 21, almost 22 and feel so sick about it ive stopped eating and stopped sleeping.
